OUR STORY

The seeds of Nordic Fitness Walking were planted over a decade ago during my daily walks. These walks became my time to clear my mind, spark creativity, and reflect on ideas. It was during one of these moments that I started envisioning a community—one where people could share the benefits of Nordic walking, both online and offline.
I began by creating an online presence, sharing tips and blog posts about Nordic walking. To my surprise, friends and neighbors became curious. They started asking questions about the activity and even requested that I show them the proper technique. At that time, I wasn’t formally qualified to teach, but my passion drove me to seek knowledge. I took private lessons from a certified instructor to learn the correct Nordic walking techniques and later decided to take it a step further.
Out of pure interest and enthusiasm, I became a certified coach and Nordic walking instructor. With this, the Nordic Fitness Walking community truly began to take shape. Offline, it expanded into regular group trainings in my neighborhood. For several years, I hosted Nordic walking sessions twice a week, covering distances of 10 km, and once a month, we embarked on 21 km challenges. We even participated in local Nordic Walking Championships—an unforgettable highlight for our community.
When COVID came, our joint workouts had to pause, but my passion for movement and connection never waned. Around this time, I pursued another dream of mine—dancing salsa. It partly fulfilled my love for Latin music, which still inspires me during walks (don’t be surprised if you hear a salsa tune in the background!).
Now, both Nordic walking and salsa hold equally meaningful places in my life. They bring different joys in my life.
Why OUR Story?
Because this journey has never been about just me—it’s been about the people, connections, and communities that grew along the way. Nordic walking has shown me how an activity can unite people across the globe. Through the years, I’ve met incredible individuals who joined our training sessions from day one, forming lasting bonds that I am deeply grateful for.
These collective workouts were more than exercise—they were moments of shared effort, laughter, and growth. And though the doors to group training are not closed, I believe in evolving to serve the future. Growth requires transformation. This community now stands as a welcoming tribe for like-minded people who find joy in the outdoors, in all seasons, and who see Nordic walking as both a physical and mindful practice.
What started as a simple activity turned into a passion, a brand, and a community—a tribe where everyone is welcome to join and walk together.
